The Stripes
This is my discover your path final project. The cohesive element is that they all have stripes glazed on in different colors. I made the stripes by glazing the piece in one color, then when its finished drying I put lines of tape on it and glazed the places where the tape wasn't. My favorite piece was the red one.
Embers
This was my favorite piece I made. I made this by making a cylinder, and then using pressure on the clay in different places. I gave this to my mom.
Water Bowl
I made this for my Discover Your Path project too. It has blue stripes instead of red ones, and I used the same tape technique as "Embers". This was also my teacher appreciation gift.
imperfections
So clearly this vase is shaped in an irregular way, it's because somehow someone stepped on it and it got a few dents, but the glaze was too pretty for me to throw the piece away. I was trying to make a vase, but it got messed up.
Stand up to childhood cancer
I made a piece for my "Your voice matters" project to share awareness for childhood cancer. My family is very involved in childhood cancer foundations such as ASK and Connor's Heroes. I chose this topic because one of my closest friends, that I've known my entire life, has a younger sister who is a childhood cancer survivor.
